Terms of Service

Welcome to Invoiceize ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our website at invoiceize.com and our free online invoice generator (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account Registration

• You may need to create an account to access certain features.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Service Description

Invoiceize provides a free online tool for creating invoices and downloading them as PDF. You enter your business, client and line-item details, and the Service lays them out as an invoice in your browser for you to download, print or send. The Service includes both free and paid tiers with credit-based usage.

4. Credits and Payments

• Free users receive a limited number of daily generations.
• Registered users may receive free credits upon sign-up and through daily check-ins.
• Additional credits can be purchased through the Service.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis for reasonable requests (such as accidental purchases, technical issues, or unused credits). Contact hi@invoiceize.com within 7 days of purchase, and we aim to respond within 3 business days.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing and credit allocations at any time with reasonable notice.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of the invoice details and inputs you provide. By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your inputs solely for the purpose of displaying and exporting your invoices.

5.2 Your Invoices

Invoices you create with the Service belong to you and you may use them for any lawful business purpose. You are responsible for the accuracy of the amounts, tax rates and details on your invoices and for meeting the invoicing and tax rules that apply to you. It is your responsibility to verify that your use does not infringe on third-party rights.

5.3 Our Content

The Service's interface, code, design, text, and branding are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to generate, upload, or distribute content that:

• Is sexually explicit, NSFW, or depicts minors in a sexual context (zero tolerance for CSAM).
• Promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm, or illegal weapons.
• Constitutes hate speech or harassment based on race, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics.
• Infringes trademarks or copyrights, or impersonates real brands, people, or deepfakes.
• Is fraudulent, deceptive, or used for phishing.
• Violates any applicable law.

You also agree not to reverse engineer the Service, use bots to circumvent usage limits, or resell access in ways your plan does not permit.

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this policy, without refund.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Content generated by AI may be unpredictable. We do not guarantee that outputs will be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for any particular purpose. The Service does not use AI to produce invoices; calculations are performed from the numbers you enter. You use AI-generated content at your own risk and discretion.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Invoiceize and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account Dashboard → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then and are automatically downgraded to the free tier afterward. Previously purchased credit packs are not affected. Cancellation does not trigger an automatic refund — see Section 4 or contact hi@invoiceize.com.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any unused credits may be forfeited upon termination for cause.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if that fails, through binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
